Abstract

Bali is one of island in Indonesia which has many the wonderful places for tourist destinations. It has been developing the culture tourism beside that people welcome friendly to the guests so that many tourists would like to spend their holiday in Bali . It’s one of the reason, so that Bali builds many tourist’s facilities namely hotels. One of hotel which located in Sanur namely Inna Sindhu Beach Hotel & Resort Sanur. This hotel has many departments, and one of department that is front office (F.O) department. Job description of front office, as  receptionist such as handling check in, check out or others services that has provided by receptionist for serving  the guests optimally who can feel happy, satisfy , safe  and comfortable during staying at hotel. Receptionist efforts provides in excellent services such as : preparing an express check-in, preparing an express check-in for VIP guest, preparing an express-check in for the group of guest, preparing an express check-out, and improving the value of service that become as repeater guests. The purpose of this research is to find out receptionist efforts to provide an excellent services and to find out what obstacles are faced by providing an excellent services and how to overcome it. There are several data collections techniques that researcher uses to obtain data, namely (1) Observation is data collection technique by making direct directions on object used as research, namely at front office (2) Interview is one of data collection technique using conduct direct question and answers with parties who knows the source of research.(3) The documentation method is data collection technique that based on recording data from archival documents or other written sources and images related to the problem being studied. In data processing, qualitative descriptive analysis is used, namely a method of processing data by describing the data in detail and systematically so that general conclusions are obtained through 3 stages namely data reduction, data presentation, and data drawing conclusions.
