Strategi Pengembangan Wisata Spiritual di Pura Keraban Langit, Desa Sading, Kecamatan Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung

Abstract

Another alternative tourist activity that is currently famous among tourism practitioners in Bali is Spiritual Tourism. Pura Keraban Langit is one of the potentials for developing a spiritual tourism attraction in Mengwi Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. Keraban Langit Temple is in Sading Village.  The development and management of Keraban Langit Temple still need to be improved, and there are still obstacles. The aims of this research were determined the potential for spiritual tourism at Keraban Langit Temple and found out the strategy for developing spiritual tourism at Keraban Langit Temple. This research used qualitative methods. Data collection techniques with observation, in-depth interviews, and literature study. The technique for determining informants used snowball sampling. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative with a SWOT approach. The results of this research showed that Keraban Langit Temple has tourism potential, including natural beauty, unique architecture, and the presence of melukat activities. The proposed strategy is expanding access roads and parking, encouraging community participation, creating variety in tourism activities, collaborating with the tourism industry and providing skills training such as tourist guides, foreign languages ​​and homestay management to support the desire and success of the tourism sector. Through synergistic collaboration between the local government, the tourism industry and local communities, Keraban Langit Temple is expected to develop into a sustainable spiritual tourism destination, providing significant economic benefits as well as preserving the culture and environment around the temple
