Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of motivation and communication on employee performance at the Shigira Bayside Suite Allamanda. The data used in this research is primary data distributed through questionnaires with 70 respondents. The research results show that: (1) Motivation has a positive and significant influence on employee performance at Shigira Bayside Suite Allamanda. This can be seen from the value of tcount 2.308 > ttable 2.002. (2) Communication has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This can be seen from the tcount value of 4.158 > ttable 2.002. (3) Motivation and Communication simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Shigira Bayside Suite Allamanda. This is indicated by the Fcount value of 15.403 > Ftable 3.159. (4) The magnitude of the influence that motivation and communication have on employee performance is 44.8%, while the remaining 55.2% is influenced by other variables outside this research. (5) The communication variable is the most dominant variable influencing employee performance at Shigira Bayside Suite Allamanda. This can be seen from the beta coefficient value of the communication variable of 0.446, while the motivation variable only has a Beta coefficient value of 0.248.
