The promotional strategy carried out by the marketing sector of the West Manggarai Tourism and Culture Department to increase tourist visits in Labuan Bajo is carried out in several ways, namely by monitoring and developing tourist attractions, then utilizing social media, advertising and establishing cooperative relationships with certain parties and also with public. The purpose of this research is to find out the promotional strategies carried out by the marketing sector of the West Manggarai Tourism and Culture Department to increase guest visits in Labuan Bajo and to find out what obstacles are faced by the marketing sector of the West Manggarai Tourism and Culture Department in carrying out promotions to increase guest visits in Labuan Bajo and how to overcome it. There are several data collection techniques that the author uses to obtain data, namely (1) Observation is a data collection technique by making direct observations on the object used as research, namely at the West Manggarai Tourism and Culture Office. (2) Interview is one of the data collection techniques using conduct direct questions and answers with parties who know the source of the research. (3) The documentation method is a data collection technique that is based on recording data from archival documents or other written sources and images related to the problem being studied. In data processing, qualitative descriptive analysis is used, namely a method of processing data by describing the data in detail and systematically so that general conclusions are obtained through 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
